Bio:
Ryan Darcey grew up in Miller Place, Long Island with an appreciation for all forms of art, but didn’t begin to create
his own expressions until later in life. After graduating from Syracuse University with a degree in computer science,
he left the east coast for Texas to pursue his childhood dream of developing video games. Ryan continues to develop
video games at LucasArts in San Francisco while maintaining a comprehensive photography portfolio and expanding
his list of gallery exhibits in the bay area.

I like the elegance of a simple style. I like capturing the light behind our fears
and sadness. I like leaving room for you to develop your own story.
Music, film and video games all have a strong influence on my work.
Especially the synthetic melodies, live-action fantasies and 8-bit adventures
from the 80’s.
Photography satisfies my lifelong passion for art and technology. I’ll continue
to shoot as long as my life remains filled with stories that inspire me.
